Structural Surveys

A structural survey is a detailed report on a property carried out by our qualified engineers. They inspect and report on the structural condition and adequacy of all the readily accessible load-bearing elements of the property. The inspection includes foundations, floors, walls, lintels, beams, roof structure boundaries and services. It also includes assessing the surrounding site to identify any factors which could indicate a risk to the foundations ot the structure.

The report details the structural condition and adequacy of all the loadbearing elements inspected. It identifies any structural problems or concerns and recommendations are made as to how problems may be rectified and what, if any, further investigations may be necessary. Where additional repairs/remedial works are recommended, the report will equip the client with budget costs for these, if requested.

Elements inspected include:

  • Foundations
  • Walls
  • Floors & ceilings
  • Roof
  • Doors & Windows
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing & Heating
  • Underground services
  • Planning & Boundary
  • Subsidence
